Compagnia Ariella Vidach – AiEP (IT)

Tumbit

DiD Studio – Fabbrica del Vapore
28_30 March h20.00

This performance is the first stage of a research project aiming to explore the reactions that an environment produces on behaviour.

It develops from the materials proposed by the dancers themselves through the actions by which they respond to the neutral space of the stage. Tumbit is an ordinary town (it is named after a remote Indonesian village) and, like every place, it determines events, reactions and reflections.

Sentieri Selvaggi: ritratto di Michael Gordon

Timber

Teatro Elfo Puccini
26 March h21.30

with Slagwerk Den Haag Ensemble

Michael Gordon, composer and co-founder of the New York organisation Bang on a Can, one of the most authentic and exciting musical phenomena and one of the most successful projects of the last decade, is the author of large-scale projects, which genuinely challenge creative imagination.

For the opening concert of the season, they come to Milan with the Dutch ensemble Slagwerk Den Haag, one of the best percussion bands in Europe. They will present the Italian premiere of Timber, a captivating composition in which the six percussionists, arranged in a circle on stage, play the simantra – a traditional instrument of Greek origin which used to be employed in liturgical service – consisting of a single block of wood.
